Langtang Yoga Trek

LANGTANG VALLEY TREK is located about 61.8 km far away from Kathmandu on the north and can be a perfect destination for those who wish to trek to the Himalayas but are looking for a relatively easy route with shorter walks and lower altitude.The rich ecosystem of this valley is well preserved and is a rural landscape comprising of villages, terraced farms and forests encircled with green hills with a backdrop of the white Himalayan range.

The beautiful Langtang valley is surrounded by Mount Langtang Lirung (7246 m) which offers pine forest, rugged rock, swift mountain streams, snow-capped peaks and more. This is as wild as any Tibetan highlands with the peaceful rural scenery. Crossing the slope, passing the dramatic ridges through local villages of Sherpa, Tibetans and Tamangs, you may get a chance to see their practices and traditions. You also come across several Buddhist temples, monasteries, and the lush forest of Rhododendrons & oaks. Once you are in the Langtang valley, flapping prayer flags in the main tracks and yak herds will welcome you in their unique way.

Spectacular mountain views of Langtang Lirung, Langshisa Ri, Ganja La Peak, Dorje Lakpa, Mount Gaurishanker, Ganesh Himal, Gangchenpo, Yala Peak and Naya Kanga are the main attractions. The glaciers and the local yak cheese factory are also something very interesting to see.
